February 17, 2020 – Wunderlich-Malec Engineering (WM) announced the acquisition of AECm Architects | Engineers (Newmarket, NH). Headquartered in Eden Prairie, MN, Wunderlich-Malec (WM) operates over 32 offices throughout the United States. This strategic initiative is intended to expand Wunderlich-Malec’s services including Civil and Structural Engineering and enhance their capacity for Architectural and MEP services.

Since 2007, AECm has established itself as an Architecture-Engineering firm providing multidisciplinary services to varied cliental including federal, municipal, and commercial markets. Since their incorporation in 1981, Wunderlich-Malec has grown into a full-service national Architect & Engineering firm. In 2012, they became a 100% employee-owned company (ESOP). Wunderlich-Malec is one of the largest and best established (39+ years) engineering companies in the United States with over 500 professionals and 32 offices nationwide. In 2019, they were ranked at number 197 on the Engineering News Record (ENR) Top 500 Design Firms.

Through teaming arrangements on several large projects since 2015, AECm and Wunderlich-Malec have forged aworking relationship. AECm will continue to operate as a business unit from its existing headquarters in Newmarket, New Hampshire and provide expanded services to its clients as part of the Wunderlich-Malec team.
