Newnan, Georgia -- Yokogawa is releasing a new DAQSTATION DX200 Expandable model that provides graphical display, alarming, and archiving of up to 200 additional process values sourced from external measurement hardware. In addition to the built-in measurement channels, the DX200 expandable model receives process input data from any hardware platform equipped with serial MODBUS RTU communications such as Yokogawa’s DARWIN data acquisition systems, PLCs, and controllers. Data points from other field bus protocols such as MODBUS TCP, DeviceNet, ControlNet and Profibus can be accommodated using an optional gateway interface.
Users can now replace aging, paper-based recording systems of up to 230 inputs (30 internal plus 200 external) with a modern, panel mount DAQSTATION front-end that benefits operators with flexible, high resolution color graphical display modes, high capacity on-board data archiving, and superior network connectivity functions that include FTP file transfer, web server, and email messaging. Specify Yokogawa’s OPC server for integration with your SCADA/HMI or historian system, or use the DAQWORX advanced software suite for PC data acquisition applications. External inputs can be sourced from new Yokogawa DA100 data acquisition hardware or other MODBUS RTU equipped platforms.
Standard functions of the new expandable models include advanced display modes that allow 23 user-defined channel groups for Trend, Digital, and Bar display modes, and a single Overview display that can show every channel value. A new time synchronization function allows all DX200 expandable units placed on a network to receive precision time data from an SNTP time-server. Also included is an advanced daylight savings time function that automatically calculates seasonal time change every year with no need for annual setting changes.
