Skilled-worker shortages pose enormous challenges for industrial companies, because it is difficult to recruit qualified workers. The young talent initiative YOUR FUTURE offers a solution: exhibiting companies at HANNOVER MESSE can connect with suitable candidates.

YOUR FUTURE, Hannover Messe’s young talent initiative, offers young professionals, students, school pupils and trainees direct access to employers from various industrial sectors. Guided tours, presentations and personal discussions give young people first-hand insights into potential careers. In addition to guided tours, the YOUR FUTURE exhibit in Hall 12 offers an inspiring supporting program and further opportunities for exchange. “We developed YOUR FUTURE together with exhibitors and partners, because the need for young people in industry is enormous,” explained Basilios Triantafillos, global director of Hannover Messe. “Our program offers exhibiting companies direct contact to young talent.

Each company can configure their participation themselves–from guided tours to daily stage programs and YOUR FUTURE demo points to school excursion packages.” “We have developed from a pure machine factory into a global player. We also retain our family structures and are one of the most attractive employers in the Weser Hills region,” said Lara Eggers, human resources officer at Aerzener Maschinenfabrik. “It is our 2,500 qualified employees worldwide who actively shape this exciting, challenging development of AERZEN and who demonstrate the AERZEN promise, ‘Expect Performance,' to our customers every day. We look forward to interesting conversations about YOUR FUTURE at AERZEN!”

“Baden-Württemberg, the number one innovation region in Europe, offers young and skilled workers the best conditions for making a future. In THE LÄND, with its global players and thousands of small and medium-sized companies, offers numerous attractive career opportunities. More than 50 companies present themselves as potential employers at the Baden-Württemberg International group exhibits in Hall 12 and Hall 15,” said Barbara Houessinon-Junger, Head of the Innovations and Talents department, Baden-Württemberg International. “Apprentices are not only the heroes of tomorrow, but also of today. Our Future Heroes project empowers trainees and students to organize and staff our main exhibit on their own.

By also participating in YOUR FUTURE, we want to show that training offers great development opportunities today,” said Timo Pfluger, training manager at ebm-pabst.
