December 22, 2006 - Plymouth, Minnesota: Medical systems such as scanners, DNA analyzers and X-ray equipment requiring consistent, precision linear positioning benefit from the next generation of ServoClass Couplings from Zero-Max. These new ServoClass Couplings have even higher torsional stiffness than previous models. They are the ideal coupling for handling high speed reversing loads and precise positioning requirements in today’s demanding medical servomotor applications.Manufactured of ROHS compliant materials, these new ServoClass Couplings are designed with 304 stainless steel disc packs and 7075-T6 aluminum hubs and center members. All models and sizes feature clamp style hubs with corrosion resistant socket head cap screws.
This unique design provides high torsional stiffness to avoid system resonance in servo systems. Standard off-the-shelf ServoClass Couplings will perform at speeds up to 10,000 rpm. The product line consists of 8 sizes with torque ratings up to 530 in. lb. (60 Nm).
System designers can select from combinations of both inch and metric bores that are available off-the-shelf.Zero-Max ServoClass Couplings have an elegant, yet robust design that performs reliably in 24/7 servomotor applications. They are a better choice when the application cycle becomes faster.
The wind up in beam couplings and the fragile nature of bellows couplings can become serious problems. For these reasons, Zero-Max ServoClass couplings are ideal for a wide range of medical, lab automation and medical equipment manufacturing applications utilizing servomotors. An all new, FREE 8-page brochure is available that includes complete selection information for ordering as well as a CD ROM with the Zero-Max ServoClass Sizing and Selection software included. The CD ROM gives the designer the ServoClass catalog in PDF format, a comprehensive sizing and selection program, and 3D CAD drawings for all of the couplings.
