Invensys Operations Management adds two regional presidents

OCTOBER 1, 2009 – Invensys Operations Management annouonced that Dr. Ravi Gopinath and Teemu Tunkelo have joined Invensys as regional presidents for Asia Pacific (APAC) and Europe/Russia/Africa (EURA), respectively. Tunkelo has a strong background in a variety of software and systems integration roles for top-tier companies, including Nokia, Compaq, Siemens and, most recently, ABB. At ABB he held several global senior management positions in the automation business, including responsibilities for certain customer segments and global responsibility for ABB’s automation platform products and platform software. In this last role, Tunkelo led ABB’s global control systems, analytical and force measurement businesses, providing products, systems and services to process industries customers worldwide through direct and indirect sales channels. Gopinath holds a doctorate in advanced process control from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute. He started his professional career with Tata Consultancy Services, where he primarily built and led the 3,500-strong global engineering and industrial services business. In 2006 he joined Geometric Ltd, a firm specializing in engineering products and technologies, as its chief executive officer. “I am very pleased to have Teemu and Ravi join our management team.
