Aubrey Group--Total Design & Manufacturing Solution for Medical Instruments

17 March, 2010
1 min read

Aubrey Group, Inc., a Southern California engineering firm and developer of complex electro-mechanical medical instruments, has announced the opening of its new facility for design and manufacturing of medical devices. Instrument development projects include ventricular assist device controllers, blood cardioplegia systems, cardiac ablation devices, centrifugal blood pumps, patient monitors, telemedicine systems, dental perioscopy, chemistry analyzers, ophthalmic surgery controllers, infusion pump software, and graphical user interface software and hardware. Clients include Alsius Corporation, specialist in intravascular temperature management, Thoratec, a world leader in circulatory support and vascular graft technology, and many other highly innovative medical technology developers.

Until now, the full offering of Aubrey Group’s services has included only the design, not the actual manufacturing, of medical instruments. With a larger 14,000 square foot facility, manufacturing is now available. According to Vytas Pazemenas, President and Founder of Aubrey Group, the decision to include manufacturing as part of a strategic growth plan is a direct response to their client’s requests. “Our core business will always be medical product design, but now we will offer clients product focused contract manufacturing and an alternative to the time-consuming manufacturer selection process” explains Pazemenas. Aubrey Group views the present economic condition as a financial opportunity and a chance to build on a strong and growing core business in medical device design.

Aubrey Group’s cutting-edge engineering combined with manufacturing will provide unprecedented convenience and rapid product turnaround for its customers -an invaluable asset in the competitive medical device market. For more information please visit www.aubreygroup.com
