June 8, 2006 - Ashland, MA -- Schaefer, Inc. has enhanced its pure sine wave inverter offering with the new AEP-3000R Series of 3KVA rackmount products. The output waveform of the AEP-3000R Series is a true sine wave, with less than 3% total harmonic distortion, which delivers “clean” output power for powering sensitive loads and for improving AC equipment performance. The AEP-3000R Series is available with three nominal input configurations of 12VDC, 24VDC and the less frequently found 48VDC, offering the ability to provide high quality mains power from a wide variety of battery powered systems. Outputs are available in 115 or 230VAC (50/60Hz) versions, which are regulated to ±2% or better.
A built-in, 4-6ms automatic bypass switch allows for operation from a second/independent backup utility power source if the DC supply drops out. The AEP-3000R offers a wide operating temperature of -30°C to +60°C and also features comprehensive protection circuitry and a digital display to monitor/indicate low input voltage, short circuit, input overvoltage, over temperature, overload and low battery. The display also indicates voltage, amperage, power and temperature. Efficiency is up to 92%, depending upon the model selected. EMI is minimized for reduced impact on other sensitive equipment.
The compact, 2U rackmount design is rugged and ideal for industrial, satellite, vehicle/mobile, military, computer, marine and general backup power applications. The slim size of 17.12” x 16.69” x 3.48” (d x w x h) fits easily into 2U racks.
Schaefer’s full family of pure sine wave inverters also includes modules starting at 700W of power, along with higher power 3-in-1 units that include a UPS and battery charger. 1U rackmount inverters are also available.
