February 21, 2014 — AAEON announces RTC-900R 10.1” rugged tablet computer. Powered by the NVIDIA TEGRA2 1.0 GHz Dual Core Processor running the Android v4.0 operating system and an intuitive Graphic User Interface, the RTC-900R offers the utility and field service workforces greater convenience and comfort than larger bulky tablets, including richer features compared to the smaller handheld devices.
These design features protect against shock and vibration, water, dust and include a scratchproof touch screen. The RTC-900R Android-based 10.1” tablet provides up to 12 hours battery life on a single charge, high resolution TFT LCD display with anti-scratch Gorilla glass. Moreover, this projected capacitive multi-touch panel offers outstanding viewing and operating experience.
The RTC-900R is IP65 rated for ingress protection, making it fully resistant to dust and water. It is MIL-STD-810G compliant from vibration, shock, corner and edge drops under 4 feet (1.2M), with an extreme operating temperature range at -20°C ~55°C. Equipped with a G-sensor, light sensor, E-compass and GPS navigation, front and rear camera and micro SD card slot, a great number of applications can be realized. The RTC-900R also features sunlight readable functionality and offers a better working experience than previous rugged PC generations.
