September 2, 2003 ABB, the leading power and automation technology group, has delivered a Distributed Control System (DCS), safety system and fire and gas system to control the production process on a newly built Floating Production Storage Offshore (FPSO) vessel for China National Offshore Oil Company.The scope of supply consists of an ABB Advant control system, two Safeguard 415 safety systems, S100 I/O, S800 remote I/O and four Advant operator stations. Customer training is also included in the contract.China National Offshore Oil Company chose ABB because of the short delivery time, superior technology and competitive offering.
