June 29, 2011 - Eight-page, full-color brochure describes ABB's SM Series of videographic (paperless) recorders for capturing, storing, and analyzing process data. Tthese recorders incorporate advanced designs, clear operator displays, and an intuitive user interface. Ethernet communications allow wide access to process information and historical data while ensuring its security. The brochure first discusses the SM500F field mountable videographic recorder. Users can install this four-channel recorder in hostile environments, offering local access to operational data.

Subsequently treated are the SM1000, SM2000, and SM3000 videographic recorders for mounting in control rooms. These differ depending on their I/O, display sizes, operator interfaces, and internal memories. Next the brochure covers user interaction, data security and analysis, and Ethernet communications.
