Caracas, Venezuela, August 17, 2004 - ABB, the leading power and automation technology group, will deliver its leading edge Industrial IT automation solutions to Sinovensa, joint venture company of PDVSA and PetroChina, to produce Orimulsion, an extra heavy oil used to fire power plants, for export from Venezuela to China.The scope of supply is comprised of an Operate IT SCADA Vision system, telecommunication system, AC 800M controllers with Process Panels, andSafeguard 415 safety systems.
The order also includes engineering, detailed design, project management, configuration, construction, installation, training, test, commissioning, start-up and service.ABB's solution will help Sinovensa to meet safety and regulatory compliance, optimize fiscal metering and improve the efficiency of Orimulsion production..
