Baden, Switzerland, April 18, 2007 – ABB will install a CPM (Collaborative Production Management) solution for Wander AG, Switzerland. Wander is responsible for the production of the Ovomaltine® product range and other brand-name drinks throughout Europe. Wander AG is a member of the Associated British Foods (ABF) Group. In addition to a major extension to production facilities at their site in Neuenegg, Bern, Wander is also investing to improve their cost control, customer responsiveness, material tracking and real-time visibility. To achieve this performance improvement, Wander has selected ABB's ECS Enterprise Connectivity Solutions to fulfill their requirements.

ABB's ECS Enterprise Connectivity Solutions provide a streamlined, single point interface for real-time vertical integration between the plant and enterprise business systems, and the functionality that producers are looking for to support them in the aggressive global marketplace. ABB's delivery will implement ECS to integrate Wander's existing ERP, Warehouse and Automation systems, control and support the raw material delivery, batch scheduling, production flow, tracking of material, and further provide an extensive productivity analysis. Installation is scheduled to start in June 2007; project completion is planned for December 2007.

"Wander has over 100 years of experience producing quality products to excellent standards and we are proud that they have selected ABB's ECS to support them in achieving their goals for the future," said Peter Dondi, ECS Enterprise Connectivity Solutions Manager, ABB. Wander's Peter Roth, Production Manager KNF said "We have been using ABB's 800xA control system in our plant with great effectiveness. ECS is an ideal package to further improve our flexibility and productivity. We have had excellent experience with ABB's competence and service, which we are confident will support us in getting the system delivered and installed according to our very tight time schedule."

ABB is a leader in power and automation technologies that enable utility and industry customers to improve performance while lowering environmental impact. The ABB Group of companies operates in around 100 countries and employs about 108,000 people.
