AbraxSys introduces the new MRM-170 model, a 17” rugged LCD NEMA 4 (IP65) rated display designed with shock and vibration safeguards in mind and includes provisions for high moisture protection, extreme temperature operation, and Electromagnetic Environmental Interference safety for use in high vibration and/or harsh weather conditions found in many land-based, shipboard and airborne military applications. The MRM-170 has a Solid State LED Backlight and Full-Range Dimming to black. The ultra-rugged MRM-170 can be fitted with an LED Filter Backlight for NVIS Operation.
Target application platforms for the MRM-170 rugged COTS LCD monitors include: fixed-wing aircraft, helicopters, ground vehicles (not just military), submarines, surface ships, mobile shelters and even harsh duty industrial environments.
Engineered for reliability, durability, and optimal performance in extreme military, marine, and industrial environments, AbraxSys’ MRM-170 COTS Military grade LCD monitor features a very bright LED-backlit LCD measuring 800 nits (cd/m2) luminance with a very high 1000:1 contrast ratio, so whites and black colors are exceptionally distinct providing noticeable high simage quality. The MRM-170 LCD supports SXGA native resolution 1280 x 1024 and 16.2 million colors for a display brilliance. This military grade 17 inch display also offers Cold Start-Up @ -25°C 3min. usable picture and 20 minutes to full specification.
The MRM-170's various available include NVIS, touch screen, strengthened frontal glass, varying video inputs and even unique video signal support through an advanced signal recognition controller.
Additionally, the MRM-170 is a suitable replacement for the discontinued Barco MRFD-243 rugged modular flat panel. Housed in a rugged panel mount enclosure, this monitor is designed to accommodate the extreme condition, harsh environments found in demanding military applications that require graphics, video, and other RGB data on a single, rugged LCD monitor.
