Alper’s July 18 presentation, entitled “Cybersecurity: Tips, Tricks, and Tools to Keep You S.A.F.E.,” will focus on the growing trend of cybercrime, threats specific to CPA firms, and what firms should be doing to avoid becoming a cyber victim.

July 6, 2018 - Al Alper, Chief Executive Officer of Absolute Logic and sister company CyberGuard360 will hold a continuing education class for the Rockland County Chapter of the New York State Society of Certified Public Accountants (NYSSCPA) on Wednesday, July 18, from 8:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. The class will be held at Casa Mia Manor House, 577 Route 303, Blauvelt, New York 10913.

The NYSSCPA was founded in 1897 and is made up of over 26,000 CPAs, lawyers, bankers and other associated professionals. The Rockland County Chapter is one of 15 chapters within the organization; this chapter was chartered in 2001.

Alper’s presentation, entitled “Cybersecurity: Tips, Tricks, and Tools to Keep You S.A.F.E.,” will focus on the growing trend of cybercrime, threats specific to CPA firms, and what firms should be doing to avoid becoming a cyber victim.

Participants can earn three Specialized Knowledge (NYSED)/Specialized Knowledge (NASBA) CPE credits for attending. Alper, who is the CEO of two cybersecurity firms, is a recognized thought leader in the industry and has authored the REVEALED! series of books, which help business leaders navigate the complex waters of technology and cybersecurity. Alper has also spoken before a number of organizations, most recently including at NASDAQ, where he addressed an audience of international CEOs. Alper’s firm has provided technical support, technology consulting, security and compliance technology and services to Connecticut and New York businesses since 1991.
