Training courses and workshops teach control systems designers, engineers and operators various aspects of process safety and how to meet worldwide safety requirements.

May 7, 2014 - ACM Facility Safety announces its June and July 2014 schedule of process safety training courses and workshops. Classes typically are a combination of classroom and hands-on training covering various aspects of process safety, including P&ID drawings, hazard and operability (HAZOP) studies, Safety Integrity Level (SIL), Safety Instrumented Systems (SIS), Layer of Protection Analysis (LOPA), and similar topics. Courses include:

P&ID Engineering Drawing Interpretation Workshop

http://www.acm.ca/course.aspx?menu_id=16&id=476 Location: Calgary, Alberta, Canada June 2-3, 2014 The P&ID Engineering Drawing Interpretation Workshop provides a combination of classroom instruction and workshop exercises focused on critical documentation essential to the safe day-to-day operation of facilities (e.g., P&ID, PFD, Plot Plan, Electrical Area Classification, Piping Drawing, Isometric Drawing, Line List, Tie-In List and Shutdown Keys).

Price: $1,495 CDN.

SafeGuard Profiler Certification & Workshop

http://www.acm.ca/trainingcourses.aspx Location: Calgary, Alberta, Canada June 3-5, 2014 This 2-day workshop is comprised of combined classroom instruction and workshop exercises. The range of topics that will be covered in this interactive session include importing HAZOP data, performing SIL Determination studies using Risk Graph and LOPA, SIF Loop Verification, SRS, and Reporting using SafeGuard Profiler software.

The course is free for qualified students and includes a copy of SafeGuard Profiler software.
