Advanced Motion Controls releases AZ PCB servo
AZ takes up little space, eliminates wiring hassle and fits on a PCB.

November 3, 2008 - ADVANCED Motion Controls announces the AZ PCB mount, Z-drive servo family series with higher power, greater thermal efficiency and lower operating voltages. Functionalities include: torque and velocity modes with multiple command and feedback options. AZ's take up little space, eliminate wiring hassle and deliver unparalleled performance. Additionally, servo solution customization just got that much easier. Introducing just a few of the new highlights for these very capable servo drives:

  • Considered µ-sized, AZ's have an incredibly small footprint, smaller than a business card, and weighing a mere 100 grams or less, including the heat sink.
  • Selected AZ models are dedicated to operate in either torque or velocity modes for brushed, voice coil or brushless motors.
  • Various AZs can take inputs of either ±10V analog or PWM & Direction with velocity feedback being encoder, Hall Effect only or tachometer.
  • Some AZ's capacity include operating from 10 - 80VDC while delivering 12 Amps continuous / 20 Amps peak, achieving 1kW continuous power if needed. With multiple product choices, the strategy is to reduce overall system costs by establishing an optimal feature set that fulfills the application's exact needs.

However, all of the units have extremely high current loop bandwidth for quick response times needed when used in critical or challenging applications.

As more applications require smaller mounting spaces or become completely mobile, designing with AZs would be the perfect match.

Cost-effective, PCB mounted, AZ servo drives from ADVANCED Motion Controls - the new perfect fit, global standard solution.
