(Cincinnati, Ohio – 03/11/2008) -Advantech introduces three new members of the AMAX-2000 series. The AMAX-2241 (Panasonic Minas A), 2242 (Mitsubishi MR-J2S), and 2243 (Yaskawa Sigma-II) are 4-axis AMONet RS-485 motion slave modules used to increase the number of axes on an AMONet RS-485 decentralized motion control network.
These new slave modules can connect serially through simple Category 5 LAN cable, reducing the wiring between driver and controller. All three new modules include: up to 20 Mbps transfer rate and 6.5 Mhz 4-axes pulse output, 28 bits counter for incremental encoder, 2~4 axes linear interpolation, 2-axes circular interpolation, and T and S-curve velocity profile support. As with all AMAX products, they are integrated with complete hardware and powerful software and are available for purchase directly from Advantech or from an Advantech authorized dealer.
