May 15, 2013 - Advantech’s Industrial Automation Group released TPC-1840WP, an 18” widescreen multi-touch panel PC specifically designed to provide easier operation and boost productivity in manufacturing control environments, building automation, and other HMI applications. With pale blue soft-keys that, when lightly touched, give users quick and easy access to information allowing for convenient viewing. The TPC-1840WP features a widescreen ratio of 16:9, providing 40% more screen area than 4:3 displays. Furthermore, with the addition of multi-touch capabilities, the TPC-1840WP provides even greater control and viewing of information shown using Advantech’s SUSIAccess and WebAccess management software.
Several 3rd party partner HMI/SCADA software packages have been tested on this panel with excellent results. All of this is made possible with the inclusion of an AMD dual-core processor with independent graphical processing unit which provides support for Windows 8 and DirectX11 so it can handle more complicated and detailed graphics. Other features include: 3 x RS-232, 1 x RS-422/485, 2 x USB 2.0 Host Ports, 2 x GbE LAN, 1 x HDMI, 1 x Audio, and 1 x Audio Out.
