Cincinnati, Ohio (July 29, 2004) – Advantech Corporation, Industrial Automation Group is proud to release the FPM-3170, a 17-inch color SXGA TFT LCD flat panel monitor designed for industrial applications. Resolutions up to 1280 x 1024 are supported, and multi-scan function supports SXGA, XGA, VGA, and VGA text mode settings. Luminance is high at 250 cd/m2, and it has auto-recognition of input signals from VGA, DVI-D, Video and S-Video. The FPM-3170 supports panel, wall, rack-mount or VESA arm mounting. The FPM-3170 is available in both touch-screen and non-touchscreen models.
With a viewing size of 17", the FPM-3170 presents an ample display area and vivid, sharp images for industrial human machine interface (HMI) applications. Its on-screen display function allows users to adjust the images on screen with ease. While most commercial products use corrosive-susceptible metals, the FPM-3170’s chassis are stainless steel and the front panel is made of aluminum. Because the exposed panel (front) is protected against dust and protected against low-pressure jets of water from all directions (NEMA4/IP65), the FPM-3170 is suitable for harsh commercial and industrial environments. The non-touchscreen version has a tempered glass front protection panel, furthering the ruggedness of the FPM-3170.
