February 28, 2011 - American Industrial Systems releases Express II Touch Screen Panel PCs.They feature a PCI slot for expansion capability, and are available in 10.4”, 12.1”, 15”, and 17” sizes. The PC- and windows-based touch terminals are suited for plant monitoring, industrial automation, process control and complete system data logging for mid-level and supervisory level HMI applications.
The panel PCs are powered by the Intel Atom 1.6 GHz processor with 2.5W thermal design power (TDP) and 1.56 TDP to clock speed ratio (W/GHz) which enables a passive and fanless cooling system architecture, ideal for industrial environments. Express II touch HMI panels are designed to NEMA 1/12/4 sealing standards on the front side, meeting high levels of dust, dirt, grease, and moisture resistance.
The systems accept a wide voltage range input of 9-36V, making integration and deployment simple. The HM’s feature standard communication interfaces including Gigabit Ethernet, RS232, and RS422/485 serial ports, which can connect to industrial automation PLC, DCS, SCADA and PAC systems.
