By: Automation Systems Interconnect, Inc. (ASI)

ASI is the first company to address the complaints of customers that the terminal blocks are not really equivalent due to differences of color, the requirement for different accessories and a lack of different models. Their new terminal blocks are molded from a UL 94V0 material and are UL recognized. The color of the housings is the same so there are no visual differences in the terminal blocks.

June 27, 2006 - Carlisle, Pa- Automation Systems Interconnect, Inc has announced the introduction of two new product lines that are the identical equivalents to the Allen Bradley 1492J Series and the Weidmuller WDU series.

The only difference is ASI has improved on this design; instead of a steel body for these blocks the metal clamping bodies are made of a nickel-plated copper alloy, the screws are plated to prevent corrosion and all of the materials are RoHs compliant. This is a huge advantage in areas where corrosion is a problem. So now you have the best of both worlds. You have the housing that everyone is accustomed to from Allen Bradley and Weidmuller and you have the superior rising cage clamp design from Phoenix Contact. ASI also offers a wide range of accessories and styles so that companies currently using the competition’s terminal blocks can use their old parts and buy accessories for a fraction of the cost.

Customers can also save 30% - 50% by specifying the new equivalent terminal blocks. In addition to this we also offer custom rail assembly services for companies that would like to purchase a whole assembly with one part number. For more information on ASI’s new Allen Bradley and Weidmuller equivalent terminal blocks including pricing, specifications, availability and a complete cross-reference please visit their website. Or, for personalized service and their new terminal block catalog please call the factory direct.
