September 26, 2006 - Carlisle, Pa - Automation Systems Interconnect Inc. is pleased to announce the introduction of their new pluggable terminal block. The ASIUK3MVSTB508 has a current rating up to 20 amps at 300 volts and a wiring capacity of 26 to 12 AWG. This UL rated terminal block is similar to other IEC terminal blocks because it mounts on a DIN rail, but on one side there is a pin header on 5.08mm spacing that accepts the popular plug-in terminal blocks.
With the ASIUK3MVSTB508’s vertical connector entry on top of the terminal block, your application can provide for a complete circuit from 2 to 20 positions to be mated and un-mated in one action. This makes installation, testing and troubleshooting very easy and convenient. To avoid errors, the plug and the terminal block are both polarized so that they can only be mated in one direction. ASI offers a wide selection of terminal block plugs which allows for customers to select the direction a wire will exit a plug. The ASIUK3MVSTB508 is one of the many new Phoenix Contact equivalent terminal blocks ASI has just released.
The ASI terminal blocks are UL approved and are the same color, design, dimension, specifications and materials as Phoenix Contact. ASI is the first company to introduce terminal blocks that are identical equivalents to Phoenix Contact, Allen-Bradley and Weidmuller.
