Redesigned web site features 18 product categories and enhanced search capabilities that make it easier for engineers to find electronic components.

March 1, 2010 - Allied Electronics launched a redesigned web site featuring 18 product categories and enhanced search capabilities that make it easier for engineers to find electronic components.The enhanced search features configurable extended attributes within search results, making it easy to filter results in multiple ways. The expansion to 18 product categories on the home page means engineers can drill down to find the components that they need quicker. “Allied’s redesigned web site was built with engineers in mind,” said Dan Stewart, Director of eCommerce at Allied.

“Engineers can expect to find product solutions easier than ever on the Allied web site, allowing them to get back to their design projects quicker.”Other new features of the site include side-by-side product comparisons, more prominent accessories on product pages, account log in from the home page and Canadian pricing. Allied’s web site now features over 1.7 million products and over 140,000 datasheets.
