May 23, 2018 - AMETEK Factory Automation has introduced a linear displacement transducer in a rod-style package. The GEMCO 958A Compact Housing LDT is less than 3.05 cm (1.2”) in depth.
Made entirely from stainless steel, the LDTs can be used in food and caustic applications, They can withstand cold water power washing for use in agricultural and other challenging environments. Programmable zero and span points allow users to adjust the output to exactly match their requirements.
Magnetostrictive technology gives analog position feedback, accurate to 0.04% of the programmable sensing distance. It can withstand the conditions traditionally associated with hydraulic cylinders: operating pressures up to 5000 PSI and spikes to 10,000 PSI with response times in the milliseconds.
