September 20, 2011 - AMT-The Association For Manufacturing Technology plans to acquire all assets of the media properties Time Compression and Process Cleaning from Gardner Publications. These acquisitions support AMT’s strategic mission to grow its membership to include manufacturers of new and developing technologies such as additive manufacturing. AMT is developing a complete suite of services for this community, which will include existing products such as the IMTS show, business intelligence tools, technical meetings and conferences, and activity in overseas markets. Assets to be purchased from Gardner Publications include the lists, websites and e-mail newsletters of Time Compression and Process Cleaning magazines.
"Additive manufacturing is one of the most exciting technologies being developed today and process cleaning is a complementary technology that fits well with our current membership. These acquisitions will help AMT bring these manufacturers into our association, which will provide them with many benefits and give access to these technologies for our current members," says AMT President Douglas Woods. According to Gardner President Richard Kline, “We are pleased that the work we have done to develop the reach of these properties will provide continuing value to AMT.” Details of the agreement were not disclosed. The sale is expected to be finalized by the end of October.
