AnaLogic Computers has upgraded the software environment for Bi-i, its compact and stand-alone vision system, which now fully supports Bi-i v2. In addition to the continued programming support of ACE16k_v2, a 128x128-pixel ultra-high speed focal-place sensor processor manufactured by AnaFocus Ltd., the TMS320C6415 600-MHz DSP of Texas Instruments (one of the new features of Bi-i v2) is now available for running computationally demanding algorithms. The C++ SDK has also been improved substantially besides general enhancements to the Windows API.At the same time, AnaLogic has made its Image Processing Library (ImgLib) available for free download.
ImgLib provides a collection of image analysis, conversion and filtering routines (morphology, grayscale, feature extraction, etc.) via C++ classes developed for convenient manipulation of images. The library is a basic component of AnaLogic’s platform-independent InstantVision software, which also includes libraries for feature classification and multi-target tracking.
