June 8, 2007 - Rugged KINAX position transmitters from Absolute Process Instruments are designed for absolute measurement of angular position. Based on a non-contact differential capacitor system, these low-torque transducers withstand vibration, EMI, harsh environments, and offer 12-15 years MTBF.

Kinax transmitters offer superior reliability and ease-of use over potentiometers and optical encoders.Angular position from 0-5° to 0-360° is converted to a standard 2-wire 4-20 mA process signal using any 12 to 33 VDC loop power supply.Factory ranged versions with zero and span potentiometers are available as well as PC programmable versions that allow custom ranges and linearization.Single or double-ended shafts are available from 2 mm to 1/4 inches in diameter.Versions are available with heavy-duty housings, reduction gears, or for linear position (0.5 to 5.5 inch stroke).
