AMT acquired K-R Automation, a Warren, MI, based automation controls design, engineering and panel manufacturing company.

Orion, Michigan — March 9, 2008, – Applied Manufacturing Technologies acquired K-R Automation, a Warren, MI based automation controls design, engineering and panel manufacturing company. The acquisition is effective immediately, and is expected to enhance AMT’s ability to meet growing customer demand for controls engineering, design, software and panel fabrication. “K-R has been one of the premier controls engineering companies in factory automation for over 50 years,” noted Mike Jacobs, president and CEO of AMT. “K-R’s customer-first culture and high caliber team will be a perfect fit with AMT’s existing controls business, our other automation engineering departments, and our core values and service ethic.
