This Ethernet option allows applications to communicate using the SCL and Q languages over standard 100Mbit Ethernet cabling, addressing and protocols.

March 2, 2011 - Applied Motion Products introduced an Ethernet communication option for their ST line of step motor drives. This option allows applications to communicate using the SCL and Q languages over standard 100Mbit Ethernet cabling, addressing and protocols. The ST drives are available in 5 amp (ST5) and 10 amp (ST10) versions and can drive a wide variety of hybrid step motors using microstepping, electronic damping and anti-resonance for smooth, reliable operation. The ST5 operates from 24 to 48VDC and the ST10 can be supplied with 24 to 80VDC. When combined with encoder feedback, the ST can detect and prevent motor stalls using Applied Motion’s proprietary stall prevention algorithm.

Specially matched size 11, 14, 17, 23, 24 and 34 high torque motors are available from stock. DC switching power supplies are also available. The ST drives are CE certified and ROHS compliant.
