Applied Robotics adds distributor in Singapore

Automated Micron Assembly will service customers in Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, Indonesia and the Philippines.

GLENVILLE, N.Y., October 18, 2006 – Applied Robotics added a new distributor: Automated Micron Assembly Pte Ltd to provide coverage to Southeast Asia.Automated Micron Assembly Pte Ltd, or A.M.A., is a Robotic Systems provider based in Singapore.

The company was founded in 1997 and performs in the role of Supplier or System Integrator to customers in Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, Indonesia and the Philippines. The Applied Robotics Inc. product line of tool changers, collision sensors, grippers, connectivity technology and custom solutions will well complement Automated Micron Assembly’s existing offerings of robots and robotic systems and accessories, motion controls, and semiconductors. “This is an exciting new relationship,” says Jim Fitzgerald, Applied Robotics VP, “it is a growing market and offers us a local presence.” "I am extremely happy with the new partnership, which will definitely enhance our existing products range," says K.
