November 13, 2015 - Automation Systems Interconnect releases ASIDM24-S2A, a 24 Vdc DIN rail surge voltage protection terminal block with integrated ground circuit connection. It is a protection device for electronic control systems that are found in process control, industrial and automotive applications where 0-20mA, 4-20mA and 0-10V are common.
It is a good solution to protect a control loop systems from transients and voltage surges. The DIN Rail mounted SPD terminal block uses a three-stage GDT-MOV-Transient Absorption Diode technology to protect the circuit. It has a MCOV rating of 33 Vdc and Data Network protection in accordance with IEC 61643-12:2000+A1:2008. The ASIDM24-S2A measures 6.2 mm wide including end cover and will mount on any standard 35 mm DIN Rail.
Correct wiring is made simple by following the easy to read schematic diagram that is located on the side of the device. Screw clamp connections allow for secure terminations of 24 to 14 AWG wiring.
