July 10, 2013 – ASM has issued a comprehensive product catalog for its POSITAPE product line. Over a total of 68 pages, all available sensors are presented in detail. The ASM product portfolio comprises six product lines for measurement of distance, angle and inclination. Various sensor technologies are the basis for solutions in many application areas in industrial automation. Due to the stainless steel measuring tape POSITAPE position sensors are best suited for applications with deflections around pulleys and for use in harsh environmental conditions.
Available measuring lengths are distances between 250 and 20.000 mm.
Three analog outputs (0.5 ... 10 V, 0.5 ... 4.5 V, 4 ... 20 mA) and three digital outputs (SSI, CANopen, CAN SAE J1939) can be ordered.
The analog outputs are optionally available redundantly. With a linearity of ±0.10% tape extension sensors work with a high precision in their basic version. Upon request a linearity of ± 0.05% is also available.
