ABS (American Bureau of Shipping) approved pressure instrumentation from American Sensor Technologies.

August 19, 2013 - American Sensor Technologies (AST) received ABS (American Bureau of Shipping) Type Approval for its pressure instrumentation. Through a factory audit of its New Jersey manufacturing facility, ABS confirmed AST’s manufacturing site, quality management system and conformance to ABS standards. By receiving the approval, AST has broadened its portfolio for the marine and offshore instrumentation industry. The new approval will aid customers in specifying pressure transmitters and liquid level sensors by reducing the amount of qualification and documentation, as are required with design certification. Additionally, AST has added ABS approval for the AST46DS, AST46PT, AST4530, AST5300 and AST20HA pressure transmitters.

This expands customers' measurement capabilities for monitoring pressure and level in engine controls, sealed and vented tanks, and off-shore rig panels.
