April 24, 2012 - Attabox achieved IP68 certification for its encloosures. The Attabox IP68 enclosures are available in the following sizes: 6x6x4, 8x6x4, 10x8x4, 12x10x6, 14x12x6, 16x14x8, and 18x16x10. An IP68 rating means the enclosure provides effective protection from continuous water immersion, dust penetration and leakage from high pressure water jets or heavy seas. IP (Ingress Protection) ratings are standards for electrical enclosures as described by the International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC). The IEC is a worldwide organization for standardization comprising all national electrotechnical committees (IEC National Committees).
The objective of the standard is to classify degrees of protection of electrical equipment.
