December 15, 2016 - AutomationDirect has expanded its Stratus line of enclosure air conditioners to include the TA20 models. Excessive heat inside an enclosure can cause nuisance faults from electrical and electronic components, circuit breakers, fuses, and controlling units such as PLCs, HMI, and AC drives. Stratus enclosure air conditioners are closed-loop cooling systems designed for harsh environments, or when there are washdown requirements, heavy dust and debris, or airborne chemicals present.
Available in NEMA 4, 4X, and 12 ratings, the TA20-series compact air conditioners provide a contaminant free environment and cooling under higher ambient temperatures. Designed to fit 7 or 8-inch deep enclosures, the TA20-0 frame size 1,000 BTU/H units are available in 120VAC and 48VDC voltages; for 10-inch deep enclosures with smooth, flat sides, TA20-1 2,000 BTU/H units are available in 120VAC and 230VAC voltages.
The compressors are charged with CFC-free refrigerant and equipped with anti short-cycle protection. Made in the USA, Stratus TA20-series air conditioners are cULus listed, with prices starting at $1,993.00.
Available accessories include extended surface 2" deep pleated filters to retrofit new 2000 BTU/H and all existing air conditioners 2000 BTU/H and up; replacement filters for TA20-1 models are also offered; no filter is required for TA20-0 models.
