IronHorse Hollow Shaft Gearboxes
Gearboxes, also known as enclosed gear drives or worm gear speed reducers, are mechanical power transmission drive components that can drive a load at a reduced fixed ratio of the motor speed. Hollow shaft gearboxes have been added to the IronHorse mechanical power transmission lineup which also includes right angle gearboxes with right-hand output shafts and dual shaft gearboxes with both right and left output shafts. Designed to change drive direction by 90 degrees, hollow shaft gearboxes are used when space is at a premium, such as for conveyors, or to simplify mechanical design. Constructed of cast iron one-piece housings, all three output types are available in four frame sizes, and six gear ratios from 5:1 to 60:1. Optional mounting bases are also available.
