July 6, 2017 - With the launch of the newest Do-more! controller, the BRX PLC, AutomationDirect released an enhanced version of the Do-more! Designer programming software. Do-more! Designer 2.0 has many features added to improve programming efficiency. A dashboard was added for easy navigation to important features/functions. One of the more hyped additions is the embedded video help.
Right away, from the software’s start page, there are “getting started” videos that tackle everything from troubleshooting, to architecture, to FAQs. There is also a link on the start page to browse the online video library. With this video help browser users can search videos by topic or download the ones to watch later or watch at job sites where internet access is not available.
Video help has also been incorporated into the instruction set of Do-more! Designer. If assistance with an instruction is needed, click the play icon (if available) at the top of the instruction dialog to watch a quick 30-60 second video explanation, an over-the-shoulder guide, on how the instruction operates and how to properly configure it. Over 50 instructional videos are currently available with new ones being added as they become available.
