September 11, 2014 - Autopro Automation Consultants announced the opening of an office in Al Khobar, Saudia Arabia, as part of their newly established Middle East Business Unit. Mohammed Safiulla (Safi) has been named Country Manager and will be responsible for building, developing and growing Autopro’s business in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. Safi has extensive industry experience, having held various business development roles with companies such as Emerson, Bristol Babcock, Protocol Automation Solution and Industrial Instrumentation Control Systems prior to joining Autopro. In his role as Country Manager, Safi will work with Autopro’s local business partner, Dar-Masdar, to develop and support the client base in Saudi Arabia.
His initial focus will be on the provision of automation engineering services in the Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, and Utilities industries. “Autopro established a diversification-based roadmap three years ago,” said David Nakaska, President. “Our geographic expansion to the Middle East reflects a planned approach that specifically recognizes our existing high value service offerings and our Western Canadian and Indian office engineering service capabilities, which are well positioned to serve the Middle East market. We created a partnering arrangement with Dar Al Riyadh / Dar Masdar over a year ago, and are now very pleased to have established Safi as our Saudi Arabia Country Manager and to have opened our new office to deliver value to a new customer base.”
