July 26, 2009- AXIOMTEK’s CEM850 COM Express Type-II module is equipped with the new Mobile Intel GM45 and ICH9M chipsets and supports 45nm Intel Core 2 Duo and Celeron M processors with FSB of 667/800/1066 MHz. It supports two 204-pin dual-channel DDR3 SODIMM sockets with up to 8GB memory on a compact Computer-on-Module form factor that measures just 125 x 95 mm. The CEM850 offers a PCIe x16, five PCIe x1, and four 32-bit PCI for system expansion. Moreover, this COM module supports ITP which is the in-circuit testing port for direct communication with Intel CPU for various applications and debugging purpose, which helps customer to be possible to use multiple CEM850 modules as a multi-processor application in one customized baseboard.
This embedded module is specially suited for the solutions such as digital signage, gaming and entertainment, security, retail and advertising, and multimedia. Powered by the Mobile Intel GM45 Express chipset with integrated Mobile Intel GMA 4500MHD, the CEM850 offers excellent 3D graphics and CRT/LVDS, single or dual view configurations. The PCIe x16 can be configured to support SDVOs, DVI ports, or DisplayPort interfaces. High quality audio functionality is ensured via the Intel High Definition Audio interface.
To satisfy increasing demands for data transfer speed, the CEM850 provides eight USB 2.0 ports and three serial ATA ports with transfer rates up to 3 GB/s. The powerful platform runs under Windows Vista, Windows XP and Linux operating systems. Other onboard I/O features include four-channel Digital I/O, one Gigabit LAN, I2C, LPC, SMBus, and PATA-100. Moreover, the CEM850 has been designed to require only 12V DC single input.
