AXIOMTEK releases low power EPIC single board computer

01 December, 2006
The EP811 features an Intel 852GM with ICH*4 chipset. The EP811 SBC supports Intel Pentium M and Intel Celeron M processors running at a 400MHz FSB speed. An optional low voltage Intel Celeron M processor is also available. The EP811 meets the EPIC form factor with PC/104 expansion capability: the board comes with both PC/104 for 16-bit ISA and PCI104 for 32-bit PCI interfaces.

City of Industry, CA; December 1, 2006 -- AXIOMTEK launches a new low power EPIC form factor SBC, the EP811, which features an Intel 852GM with ICH*4 chipset. The EP811 SBC supports Intel Pentium M and Intel Celeron M processors running at a 400MHz FSB speed for convenient logistics and better CPU performance; the option of using an ultra low voltage Intel Celeron M processor is also available. The EP811 meets the original EPIC form factor by featuring PC/104 expansion capability: the board comes with both PC/104 for 16-bit ISA and PCI104 for 32-bit PCI interfaces.

In addition, the function-rich board provides DualView for both LVDS LCD and CRT displays, fast Ethernet for network communication, four USB 2.0 ports for high speed peripherals, and Digital I/O for industrial control applications. The EP811 is a great embedded board choice that supports reliable and anti-vibration PC/104+ expansion. Available in a choice of configurations and options, the SBC offers developers a robust and reliable platform to build on with the added benefit of being able to realize faster times to market for new products. It is an ideal solution for cost effective compact SBC's which can e asily adopt regular laptop Intel Pentium M and Celeron M CPUs.

Additionally, the board provides DualView for both LVDS LCD and CRT displays, dual Fast Ethernet (or optional Gigabit Ethernet/Fast Ethernet) for network communication, four USB2.0 ports for high speed peripherals, and Digital I/O for industrial control applications. Other I/O features including CompactFlash, an AC'97 audio codec, and watchdog timer, maximize customer's business opportunities to adopt the board into various applications. The RoHS compliant EP811 is available now. The RoHS compliant EP812 will be available around the end of December 2006.
