Since its founding in 2005 Certec has specialized in the development of state-of-the-art web HMI and SCADA systems.

March 21, 2012 - Bachmann Eectronic acquired the majority stake in Certec EDV Eisenstadt, Austria.

Since its founding in 2005 Certec has specialized in the development of state-of-the-art web HMI and SCADA systems. With 20 employees at present, the company has an extensive application know-how and many years of experience, which it has demonstrated with its atvise product line. Atvise offers a fully featured HMI in pure web technology as well as a SCADA solution that is fully compliant with the OPC Unified Architecture (UA). This enables efficient object-oriented engineering and extensive plant operation at any location and with any device, simply with any standard web browser.

The company management of Certec remains unchanged. The headquarters will also remain in Eisenstadt, as well as the distribution network and the broad availability of the product line.

As a supplier of complete system solutions in the automation field, Bachmann electronic aims to expand its existing portfolio with the innovative technologies and further extend its expertise in offering complete solutions. “With this step we are taking the requirements of our customers into account,” Bernhard Zangerl, CEO of Bachmann electronic, explains the merger and adds: “We are further pursuing our corporate strategy of supplying complete solutions.” Michael Haas, CEO of Certec, explains: “The long-term and worldwide development of new technologies can only be achieved with a close partnership with manufacturers like Bachmann. The participation will also ensure the long-term availability of our products.”

Bachmann electronic GmbH will strategically expand its product and service portfolio with the fully web based HMI and SCADA solutions of Certec. The increasing complexity and the constantly rising level of automation in a wide range of different installations require future-oriented technologies for monitoring and controlling processes. SCADA systems make a key contribution here and ensure the highest level of safety, particularly if, like the Certec systems, they offer operation that is not restricted to a particular location or device.
