Latest generation Intel Pentium processors, prepared for clock speeds of up to 1.86 GHz, ensure that even complex data are processed quickly. Together with communications via the two standard gigabit Ethernet ports, even large plants with complex protocols can be networked without straining the process control system.
This helps to avoid overload situations, enables minimal latency times and provides stable and secure communications at the highest level.The new process image controller accepts a list of cyclic I/O data from the application programs together with their time requirements, and then makes this information available directly, without placing any load on the central processor. This allows the user to integrate the inputs/outputs into the application with maximum data signaling rates.Two gigabyte DRAM working memories and two slots for CF cards also allow very large applications and data management concepts.
