April 22, 2013 - Baumer introduces the MXG03 board level camera with frame rates up to 250 frames/s, can be integrated into extremely small spaces and keeps pace with the fastest industry applications. The camera uses a flex print to connect the sensor and system board, which allows the camera to fit easily into almost any mechanical design. Highly flexible and compact, the MXG03 camera offers powerful, high-speed image processing for a range of quality control applications in industries such as packaging, laboratory testing, industrial automation, semi-conductor manufacturing and life sciences.
In the medical and pharmaceutical industries, the camera assesses the completeness of blister packages and checks vials for particles, while in the semiconductor industry the camera provides presence checking and position monitoring functions. An integrated global shutter with correlated double sampling allows the camera to detect the fastest movements with low readout noise and excellent image quality. The high sensitivity of the MXG03 camera surpasses the even sensitivity of CCD sensors. The camera’s GigE standard interface provides high bandwidth, reduces integration and maintenance costs and supports the installation of camera networks.
Comprehensive camera features like trigger delay, sequencer, debouncer, packet or transmission delay, storable user sets or an optional Power over Ethernet (PoE) power supply are also standard. An addition to the existing eight models available in the MXG series, the MXG03 camera is available in monochrome or color versions.
