Beckhoff Automation hires Sales Manager for Mountain States

Mark Whitaker has been hired as Regional Sales Manager for states in the U.S. Mountain Time Zone. Based in the Denver area, Whitaker will provide direct sales support to Beckhoff customers located in Colorado, New Mexico, Utah, Montana, Nebraska and Wyoming.

MINNEAPOLIS, January 30, 2007 – Beckhoff Automation is pleased to announce that Mark Whitaker has been hired as Regional Sales Manager for states in the U.S. Mountain Time Zone. Based in the Denver area, Whitaker will provide direct sales support to Beckhoff customers located in Colorado, New Mexico, Utah, Montana, Nebraska and Wyoming. Whitaker has almost 20 years of electrical engineering and controls experience.

Prior to joining Beckhoff, Whitaker was a field automation engineer with MSI Tec, an automation controls distributor in the Denver area. He also spent four years at OMRON Electronics as a sales engineer, supporting numerous Fortune 100 manufacturing accounts. “With the Beckhoff customer base rapidly expanding in Colorado, bringing Mark to our West Region team is a great step forward,” said Ed Schultz, West Region Manager, Beckhoff Automation. “Mark has the technical experience and professional drive to serve Beckhoff customers exceptionally well.”Whitaker is a graduate of the Denver Institute of Technology and the University of Northern Colorado in Greeley, Co.
