October 19, 2006 - RICHMOND, IN - Belden has expanded its line of DataTuff Industrial Ethernet cables with the addition of three new Enhanced 4 Pair, Category 5e Twisted Pair cables. The new cables feature Belden's exclusive Bonded-Pair technology which ensures superior electrical performance, both before and after installation. Belden calls this after-installation performance capability Installable Performance.
The new DataTuff cabling products include:
- Product No. 7935A - a Low Smoke Zero Halogen, Unshielded, Enhanced Cat 5e EtherNet/IP compliant cable featuring 24 AWG solid bare copper conductors with rip cord, polyolefin insulation, and a .030-inch industrial grade, sunlight-resistant, Black Low Smoke Zero Halogen (LSZH) jacket.
- Product No. 7936A - a Low Smoke Zero Halogen, Shielded, Enhanced Cat 5e EtherNet/IP compliant cable featuring 24 AWG solid bare copper conductors with 24 AWG stranded TC drain wire, overall BeldfoilR shield, polyolefin insulation, and a .030-inch industrial grade, sunlight-resistant, Black Low Smoke Zero Halogen (LSZH) jacket.
- Product No. 7937A - a Waterblocked/Burial, Shielded Enhanced Cat 5e cable featuring 24 AWG solid bare copper conductors with 24 AWG stranded TC drain wire, PE inner jacket, overall Beldfoil shield, and sunlight- and oil-resistant Black PE jacket.
The cable is rated NEC/CEC: CM FT1.
The cable is rated NEC/CEC: CMR/CMG FT4.
The halogen-free cable is fully waterblocked per Telcordia, IEC and ICEA and suitable for burial applications.
The new cables complement Belden's comprehensive line of DataTuff copper-based and TrayOptic optical fiber Industrial Ethernet cables.
The line comprises a wide selection of Cat 5e and Cat 6 cables in construction options to meet the requirements of most any installation environment.
All Belden Industrial Ethernet cables are designed and engineered for superior performance and reliability.
They are ruggedly built to withstand harsh industrial and environmental conditions - including sunlight, temperature variations, oil and gasoline, crushing and abrasion.
As a result, the cables ensure optimum network performance and uptime, avoiding transmission errors that can lead to unsafe conditions or interruption of critical industrial control functions.
