CL4-SP frame grabber handles the latest 80-bit 85 MHz cameras, the fastest cameras supported by the Camera Link standard.

March 31, 2014 - BitFlow releases Karbon CL4-SP frame grabber designed to handle the latest 80-bit 85 MHz cameras. These are the fastest cameras supported by the Camera Link standard. Karbon CL4-SP frame grabber fits OEM environments, as well as scientific research labs. Applications include machine vision, medical imaging, intelligent transportation systems, high-definition graphics, and quality control. BitFlow FlowThru technology, incorporated into the Karbon CL4-SP, eliminates the need for on-board frame buffers, even with the fastest CL cameras.

Comprised of a user-programmable Video Pipeline, along with a flexible Camera Control Unit, high-speed video FIFOs, and a highly-optimized scatter/gather DMA engine with burst rates up to 2.0 Gb/S, the FlowThru architecture allows the Karbon CL4-SP to control, acquire, reformat and transfer video data directly into the user's application at camera speeds with zero latency or CPU usage. The Karbon CL4-SP runs on the BitFlow SDK.
