June 30, 2008 - Dan Throne has accepted a position as sales and marketing manager for the Bosch Rexroth Corporation Electric Drives and Controls technology group.Based in Rexroth’s Hoffman Estates, IL corporate office, Throne is responsible for planning, directing and implementing all activities for the Electric Drives and Controls sales and marketing group, including the packaging, printing and converting, semiconductor and medical, machine tool and industrial automation segments.
In this role, Throne will develop long-term sales and marketing processes and coordinate strategic product plans, with an intensified focus on customer and sales support.An employee of Bosch Rexroth for 22 years, Throne has also held positions in regional sales, marketing, inside sales engineering, testing and repair. Most recently he was the business development manager responsible for growing Rexroth’s electric drives and controls business in the packaging industry segment. He also has experience working in the metal forming, plastics, automotive production, CNC machining, robotics, printing, converting, food processing and pharmaceutical packaging segments.Throne graduated from DeVry Institute of Technology with a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering technology.
In addition, he has completed Bosch management leadership training, AMA management training, AMA strategic account development training, Dale Carnegie advanced sales training and many other various advanced servo and controls training classes. During his career Throne has served multiple terms on the OMAC executive committee helping to shape standards for open controls architecture.
