With the PP15, B&R offers an operator panel with integrated I/O points for control, positioning, and visualization tasks. Distinguished by a compact design that guarantees full functionality for a wide variety of applications the PP15 has been further enhanced in 2005 and is now available with additional keys. The display, which is IP65 protected on the front, is equipped with 4x20 character resolution and is perfectly suited for simple control and visualization tasks. In 2005 10 additional keys were added without changing the compact dimensions of the PP15. Ten of the total 26 keys are equipped with LED’s.
The additional keys simplify numeric input and allow the function keys to be available for application specific functions. B&R offers two variants of the PP15 depending on the number of I/O points on the device. The first model provides 16 integrated digital inputs and outputs. Its inputs can partly double as counter and encoder inputs. The second variant is equipped with four analog inputs and outputs in addition to the eight original inputs and outputs.
The PP15 can access additional decentralized I/O points or servo drives via a CAN interface for applications which need an increased amount of I/O points.
