September 18, 2008 - B&R offers a Stand-alone Ethernet hub system which is part of their X20 slice I/O series. The modular design of the active hub allows it to be used as a 4x or 6x hub. Even the smallest version is a beneficial solution as a 2x hub for extending Ethernet sections up to 200m. Besides standard Ethernet, the modular hub system can also be expanded with an X20 Bus controller module with an integrated 2x hub for Ethernet POWERLINK. This allows remote I/O to be connected directly to the hub.
Star, tree or line – POWERLINK supports all standard topologies. The real-time capability is optimally adapted to meet the requirements of machine design. Whether a standard Ethernet stand-alone hub or a real-time hub system is required – the modular X20 hub system meets all requirements.
