August 29, 2008 - Brooks Instrument opened a Regional Support Center in Austin, Texas, USA offering expanded services to its industrial customers for their Brooks thermal mass flow meters and controllers. The previous office in Austin provided emergency repair and calibration services principally for its semiconductor customers. Once in its new facilities, this center's capabilities will expand to offer a full range of thermal mass flow services to its wider industrial customer base.When it officially opens on September 2nd, the Austin Support Center will offer one-week turnaround on calibration, reconditioning, and reconfiguration of Brooks Instrument Thermal Mass Flow Controllers. Thermal mass flow products serviced include Analog, Smart Analog, Delta, and Smart II product series.
The Center will offer two levels of services for these products:
- Level 1 service involves purge and calibration only at a reduced cost
- Level 2 full service and repair includes inspection, repair, reconditioning, calibration, and reconfiguration services.
- Class 100 clean room
- NIST certification
- Flow rates up to 50 SLPM N2 equivalent
- Up to 1500 PSIG inlet pressure
- Direct gas calibration: N2, Argon, HeliumBrooks Instrument maintains regional North American support centers in Hatfield PA (corporate headquarters), Fremont CA, and Austin TX.
